Just reading this self-assured quote on the GT4 Mobile preliminary box is enough indication as to why we had to cinch our belts to keep the pantload from creeping out when we made our way over to Sony's booth. Though some critical issues are still unresolved (battery life being one of the biggest), Sony's playable handheld system was an absolute Home Run in terms of gaming power, screen brightness, control setup, title variety and system design. Nintendo's DS was great fun and introduced interesting new gameplay ideas, but many of the editors feel that the PSP is destined to be the future evolution of portable gaming.

Runners Up: Nintendo DS and Alienware Video Array.
