係兩team人,同埋engine都唔同,ME2係UE3,DAO係用自家開發的Eclipse Engine,應該係由Aurora(NWN),進化為Odyssey(KOTOR),再進化為Eclipse(DAO)。主要係要配合佢個PC版editor,所以可能ME2 d DLC都唔會似DAO咁多咁密,我估。

但成就個interface好似唔同左? 唔通可以唔同game 有custom成就介面? (不過唔肯定果一刻係唔係得到成就 , 只係個聲似...) |

It also offered us a peek into a few new aspects that developer BioWare put in to bring an improvement over the original Mass Effect. While the main gameplay will, as noted in our previous ME2 preview, run a lengthy 30 hours, BioWare also took measures to make the side missions more compelling. According to Nick Clifford, a marketing assistant on the game, the desire was to make these optional quests enticing enough to “push the player to explore more.” You won’t have to run through these missions if you want to get to the end of the story quicker, but EA and BioWare hope you’ll be drawn in by content to want to play them. Another small—but helpful—addition are the in-game achievement progress pop-ups, as more games have been doing (such as Shadow Complex). One that came up while I was playing was “Make Enemies Scream,” which seems like it’ll be an easy one to increment from the many battles you’ll likely find yourself in over the course of the game. And Clifford lightly delved into what will happen if you have an ME save game on your system. He indicated that you’ll be able to import your save game, which will carry over plot actions and choices into your ME2 game. For example, if you killed someone in ME, the person won’t mysteriously revive for the sequel. You have to imagine that it was a challenge for BioWare to implement, but it should make for an interesting personalization of the gameplay and a nice consistency from your ME story. The section of the game we played was about somewhere about half to two-thirds of the way through the game. Shepard is in search of Samara, who he’s going to try to convince to help him in his quest. He goes to the planet where he knows she’s currently on, but he doesn’t know where she is, so he goes to the police station to try and gather info. What he finds is a police force who’s more than aware of Samara—and given that she’s a brutal fighter (and, as a Justicar, she approaches her work in a noble, Robin Hood kind of way, fighting on behalf of those who aren’t capable of confronting injustice against themselves), the local cops are quite eager to see her gone, so they direct Shepard to where they know she is…because they’re keeping an eye on her while she’s in their jurisdiction. When Shepard catches up to her, she’s tracking a nasty fugitive, and we get a quick sample of her fighting style, which is filled with biotics use and extremely powerful—though all with a mechanical, unemotional nature that shows she’s all business when it’s time to throw down. Shepard convinces her to help him—she reveals that, in fact, her “code” is to follow his directives—and off they go in search of truth, justice and the Shepard way. When you get into a scrap, you see how BioWare has improved the combat. For example, the damage is more location-based. If you can get a head shot, you’ll cause more critical damage on your opponent. Also, you’ll be able to sever limbs if you pinpoint your attacks well enough, which will surely give you a distinct advantage. We also realized that weapon use is much more limited than in ME, in that what you bring into a quest is all that you are able to put to use when you encounter trouble. However, the counterbalance comes from the occasional arms locker, which gives you a chance to switch out your gear to something a bit more favorable or at least to replenish supplies that might have been expended during a lengthy fight. Clifford also showed us how elevator rides are quicker. On the surface, that might not seem like that big a deal, but he claimed that the elevator trips were used to mask loading times into new sections, which often stretched out a lot longer than players liked. BioWare took note of the feedback from players of the first game, and endeavored to trim the loading times in ME2…which, in turn, made for quicker elevator trips. The bottom line is, you spend more time playing than watching the floors go by in the window. I’ll bring up (though you can see from the images and video that was released today)that Samara is a blue-skinned female. It makes you wonder if there’ll be a romance sparked between her and Shepard, and if BioWare is again pushing the envelope with human/alien liaisons. (And we’re pretty confident that Fox News will again over-report it if that’s the case, as it did with the first Mass Effect.) We’ll know soon enough, given that the game is winding up its development and will be in our hands in less than two months. We’ll bring you updates as we get more information as Mass Effect 2 zooms toward its January 26 release date. |

如果真係剩玩主線就真係短到冇人有 所以第二集都係咁既話就有D失望 到時可能買pc版玩算 |
