Best Buy re-opens Xbox One Day One pre-orders, Gamestop officially out

Best Buy pre-orders for the Xbox One Day One Edition are now live (again), while many other retailers are quickly selling out of their stocks.
The Xbox One Day One Edition is no longer up for pre-order at Gamestop "due to high demand," a spokesperson tells us. Those interested in learning when more consoles are available at Gamestop can sign up for the mailing list.

之前 Sony 曾表示用戶在任何 PlayStation 4 上都可以使用自己的數位遊戲資料庫，可以做到「下載即玩」的效果。而現在 Microsoft 也不甘人後，在他們最近發給主站編輯的聲明中，明確指出玩家也可在所有 Xbox One 主機上運行自己的數位遊戲。只要將部分「必要數據」下載到硬碟上之後，就可以在背景繼續下載的狀態下開始遊戲了。同時他們還聲稱在 Xbox 360 上已經可以實現一些類似的功能，只是相較之下可能會更麻煩一些。
至於光碟遊戲的話，玩家同樣只需先將部分必須的數據傳輸至硬碟，在那以後便可以在數據繼續傳輸的同時開始遊戲了。不過按照 Microsoft 之前更改 DRM 策略時的說法，要正常運行遊戲的話光碟還是不能從主機中拿出來的。當然，到目前為止我們還沒有真正見識過此類功能是如何在 Xbox One 和 PlayStation 4 上運行的，希望在上市之前能有機會一窺究竟吧。

所謂O既下載「即玩」邊係咩新鮮O野O黎，PC一早做佐好耐啦。
只不過下載佐必要FILES之後，俾你入到GAME都未必玩得耐，未下載完成O既內容，咪又係要等佢下載佐先玩得到。

當然係要DEV配合啦，我估有統一格式，DEV只要落MARKERS去CODE到就可以。其實即係要game developer配合, 寫到D關卡可以斬件download?

PC GAMES就係DEV自己搞，因為無統一PLATFORM去做呢樣O野啦，STEAM暫時唔對應邊D/L邊玩。
頻寛唔夠O既話，又或SERVER負擔唔O黎，要邊ONLINE玩邊D/L未必行得順。

我斷估的，developer 一定將最前要用的data 放在最頭比你download, 有如將最常用的data 放在CD 外圍讀得快d
其實要偷時間，如果d game 開頭唔比你skip 交代故事，果度都可能夠download 完隻game

Xbox One retail consoles double as debug units, Microsoft to allow indie self-publishing (update)
Microsoft's Xbox One is getting decidedly more indie-friendly with today's confirmation from Microsoft that its forthcoming game console will double as a developer debug unit. In so many words, each $500 unit purchased at retail this holiday will also run in-progress game code, enabling developers to get in on the action all the more affordably (debug versions of game consoles cost far more than retail game consoles, and tend to look slightly different from their retail counterparts). "Our vision is that every person can be a creator. That every Xbox One can be used for development," Xbox corporate VP Marc Whitten said in a statement.
Of course, such a move wouldn't make much sense without eased publishing regulations -- the Xbox 360 allows for self-publishing only in its ghettoized "indies" section, and all other games require a Microsoft-certified publisher to distribute physically or digitally. Going forward with the Xbox One, developers can publish their own games; Microsoft's looking at a quick turnaround on that code certification as well, according to reports, though we're told there'll be more info at Gamescom come late August. When asked about Microsoft Store prices for Xbox One games, a Microsoft spokesperson told Joystiq, "Microsoft first party games will cost £49.99, the same as Xbox 360 games currently."
That should translate into suggested retail prices of £50 across the board on most games, and likely the traditional retailer cuts to around the £40 mark. Sony has yet to announce anything on PS4 game pricing in the country, but Sony Computer Entertainment America boss Jack Tretton put the US upper limit at $60 in an interview shortly after the console's unveiling in February.

The Xbox One controller is available for pre-order on the Microsoft Store for $59.99. The store is also offering the controller with a Play and Charge kit for $74.99, with the kit priced at $24.99 on its own. Lastly, Microsoft's Store lists its "must-have" wired headset for $24.99.
Amazon also has the Xbox One controller available for pre-order, listed for a Wednesday, November 27 release, just one day before Thanksgiving. The Microsoft Store still has the "Day One" edition of the Xbox One console listed as being available in November. Whether Amazon's date holds up remains to be seen, but the controller is also available for pre-order at GameStop and Best Buy. Sony's DualShock 4 controller for the PlayStation 4 is also available for pre-order, and is also around $60.
