Compile Heart, developers of PlayStation 3′s Hyperdimension Neptunia and the Record of Agarest War series, will launch a new countdown teaser site this Thursday, March 24.
The latest issue of Dengeki played host to the revelation, but provides no hints as to what it may be (as far as we know). Our only option at this point is to wait until Thursday, where hopefully the countdown site will give off some type of clue.
Stay tuned.
Update 12:16am: Some additional details have surfaced. The project is codenamed “NPG” (no, not NGP, like the Sony handheld). Its platform is currently unknown. The following two quotes appear in the magazine, teasing a title in spirit of Hyperdimension Neptunia:

“What if game machines were cute girls?”
“That machine will shake in your hand like a little girl.”

Apparently, NPG is a revolutionary new portable system for a new generation.

OVAの発売も迫る「ブラック★ロックシューター」、最近では、PlayStation Homeでも、なりきりセットやアートギャラリーなど様々なコンテンツが展開されていたりしますが、本日、謎のサイトがオープン。同時にショートトレーラーも公開され、トレーラーでは最後に「She becomes RPG」の文字と一枚のイラストが･･･メーカーやプラットフォーム、すべてが謎のこのサイト。いったいどのようなものになるのか気になります。ジャンルはRPGとみていいのかな？サイトのURLも"JRPG"となっていますし、プラットフォームは何となくですが、PSPのような気もします。いや･･･ 1080pで動画が再生できるところをみるとまさかまさかのPS3だったりして･･･

SCEJ が謎のカウントダウンサイトを公開しました。そこでは、マフィアの幹部に見えなくもない男性が巧みな手さばきで編み物をする様子が映し出されています。どのようなゲームが発表されるのか皆目見当も付きませんが、5日と16時間後にはその正体が明らかとなるようです。

※タイトルの「前代未聞の編み物ゲー」という記述に対して、24年前に「マリオのセーター」なる編み物ゲームがあったというご指摘を頂きました。調べてみたところ確かに「アイアムティーチャースーパーマリオのセーター」なる作品が存在していました。生半可な知識で「前代未聞」と記述してしまい失礼しました。お詫びしてタイトルを訂正致します。また、ご指摘下さった方どうもありがとうございました。

Rumor: First environment images of Dragon’s Dogma

Rumors about a mystery game from Capcom indicate that the the company is developing a project called “Dragon’s Dogma.” A trademark for the name was actually filed last year, so it would make sense if it were to be a real title. It also seems very likely that Capcom’s teaser site is for Dragon’s Dogma.
The folks over at NeoGAF have done a bit of investigative work on the site, revealing a few interesting images. Although not confirmed just yet, it looks like the .SWF file holds environment pictures/screenshots (see above) and provides a glimpse of how the game’s style will be represented.
All speculation should be put to an end on Tuesday, which is the day the Captivate 2011 embargo ends and the countdown on the teaser site expires.
