根據外電消息指出，擔任研發 PS3《小小大星球》的製作團隊 Media Molecule，日前在接受英國媒體採訪時，透露已著手續作開發的訊息，同時也不排除 SCE 將於日後針對本作推出漫畫、動畫、模型等周邊產業商品。

　　該篇消息以專訪英國開發者為主題，前往了在英國中部 Surrey 的 Guildford 市周圍探訪最為玩家所知的《神鬼寓言》系列工作室 Lionhead 和《小小大星球》的 Media Molecule，並針對兩部作品進行介紹。其中，受訪發言的 Media Molecule 技術導演 Alex Evans 向媒體透露了此一訊息，強調續作的開發情事，但未曾透露至今開發進度如何。

Little Big Planet launches; sequel in development

As Sony was publicly touting Little Big Planet's launch stateside, the game's developer was helping to hype it in the UK. Along with Microsoft-owned Lionhead Studios (Fable II), Sony-supported Media Molecule was the subject of a BBC report about the solid state of British game development. During the course of the interview, which outlined Sony's plans to expand Little Big Planet into "comics, cartoons, and action figures," someone told the broadcasting service that the studio is " already at work on a sequel ." It was unclear if the report was referring to a full-fledged PS3 follow-up or the PSP LBP game revealed by a job listing last month. Requests for comment sent to Sony had not been returned as of press time.
