08/20/2002. The opening round of the 2002/2003 Serie A, which was
originaly scehduled for September 1st, has been delayed to September
15th.

As expected, the club owners didn't reach an agreement on the TV deals
issue. The most likely option seemed a one-month delay, but in the end
the Italian Laegue decided to postpone the first round to mid-September.

The news was confirmed by Gino Corioni, the chairman of Brescia, one of
the eight clubs who are still without pay-per-view TV deals.
