UK, May 23, 2007 - Codemasters has announced that a demo of the highly-anticipated Colin McRae: DiRT - featuring three different events and tracks - will be kicking up dust on Xbox Live Marketplace on May 24 and will also be available to download for PC the same day.

The demo will feature a Crossover challenge in which players must compete against driving legend Colin McRae, in a race around the Averlsbarhring in Germany. Both drivers will be buckled in behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza WRX STI spec C, with McRae's ride adorned with his 2006 Summer X-Games No Fear livery.

The second race included in the demo is a fierce C.O.R.R. (Championship Off-Road Racing) competing, battling against nine other drivers who are all bombing around Michigan's Bark Rider Off Road Raceway in V8 650hp.

Lastly, Xbox 360 owners can test their mettle on one of the game's hill climb events, steering Mitsubishi Evo IX up Arizona's Windy Point. If you're playing on PC, however, you can take on up to 100 other players (not simultaneously unfortunately) to get the best time on the Sardinian rally stage at Mounte di li Conchi.

Colin McRae: DIRT is available on Xbox 360 and PC on June 16, with a PlayStation 3 version to follow shortly after. To download the PC demo when it's released, just head to the official website.

早幾日下載了，
剛剛才有空玩，比想像中好。

試玩版有 3 種車，3 條賽道。
但只有越野車那版有電腦做對手，
其他兩條只有你自己，
未知正式版會如何。

畫面很細緻，亦較其他類型的真實，
起碼遠景同近景不會一樣的清晰。
黃昏效果處理得很不錯。

車身的灰塵、撞欄後、車胎痕在下一個 Lab 也會如常保留。

Closing Comments
DiRT is one of the coolest racing games I have ever laid my hands on. Though the framerate is sometimes suspect, there's never been a racing game with this much detail. When you can count every leaf on every piece of brush across a three mile track, that's a major graphical accomplishment. If only every aspect of DiRT matched the graphics and presentation, it would be among the top racers on Xbox 360. DiRT still hasn't fixed Colin McRae's longtime use of a central pivot for turning and the racing feels floaty at times. DiRT isn't quite as good as some previous installments in the Colin McRae racing series, but it's certainly a worthy addition to the library.

9.5 Presentation
Without question the best front-end menu I've ever seen. Deep stack tracking is a nice bonus. Long load times and a lack of replay saves is the only thing that keeps this from perfection.
9.0 Graphics
Despite a fluttering framerate, this is the best-looking racer on Xbox 360 to date. Superb damage modeling and lush environments make every stage gorgeous.
8.0 Sound
What little music is in the game is catchy. Travis Pastrana does a nice job of narrating the career mode. Oh, and the cars sound wonderfully gnarly to boot.
8.0 Gameplay
It's incredibly fun, which is what matters most. Still, the cars lack weight, which makes a considerable impact on DiRT's overall feel.
7.0 Lasting Appeal
The single-player will eat up quite a few hours of your life and the harder difficulties are truly a challenge. It's too bad the multiplayer is poorly conceived and even more poorly executed.
8.4 Impressive OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average)

The embargo around DiRT is finally lifted, so it's with great pleasure that I release these three videos I recorded last week. You'll discover quite a lot of environments and a few game modes in there, and no doubt the majority will agree that this is a great looking game even if there is a lot of tearing and slowdowns in some modes.

As for the gameplay, I guess you all tried the demo so you already know how strange the handling can be at times. DIRT sometimes feels like a simulation, sometimes like an arcade game and sometimes like a big "WTF is going on?", very difficult to describe. Also worth mentioning are the incredibly long loadings between each race (thankfully only a couple of seconds for a restart), made slightly more acceptable by the excellent and very slick looking menu interface.
A game I can only recommend if you actually managed to get around the strange handling in the demo. Then you are in for an excellent single player experience.

我覺得好玩過forza 呀, 不過2種唔同既賽車game...
可能我手車屎, forza太難,
呢隻好爽, 成日撞到架車爛哂....有時會成架反左
不過係誇左少少, 因為d車感覺好輕
