DS game is Ring of Fates, and will have wi-fi multiplayer (duh). Looks a bit more whimsical than the Cube version, same basic sense of style though. They're showing four players at once, like you'd expect. Yay DS!

May 8, 2006 - At its pre-E3 conference, Square Enix debuted its Wii and Nintendo DS versions of the multiplayer GameCube RPG, Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles.

The DS game will be called Final Fantasy: Chrystal Chronicles -- Ring of Fate. It features four-player gameplay, and a single-player RPG component as well. No further info is known at this time - a pre-rendered trailer of the Wii game was shown, but the DS game is still something of a mystery.
