The Last of Us Special Limited Edition pops up on Amazon Italy, plus magazine details

Amazon Italy is listing 「The Last of Us Special Limited Edition」 which will be available for the game's launch in May. This is an exclusive product for the online retailer.
The Last of Us Special Limited Edition features a few unique items. It will include a metal water bottle, outer cover skins for the PlayStation 3 system and DualShock controller, and a 30 day subscription card to PlayStation Plus. Amazon Italy lists a price of €89,99.
More news about The Last of Us comes from the German magazine Games Aktuell. There's nothing too spoilerish in the batch, but we'll post them after the break just to be safe.

You can hear Tess saying 「She's only cargo, Joel」 in the story trailer. That sentence was considered to Ellie. Tess is jealous on Ellie. Quarrel about these two characters is preprogrammed.
- horses serve as a mean of transportation. So it's not just a scenario thing like in Uncharted.

Ellie has to practise on guns she founds in the proccess of the campagne before she can use them.

靚女Tess幫手

《The Last of Us》由開發《Uncharted》嘅Naughty Dog公司主理，去年E3遊戲展一公開已擸走好多獎項，到台北電玩展終於可以畀傳媒作全球首試！之前公開咗嘅劇情係男主角Joel帶住少女Ellie在瘟疫隔離區走難，今次加入新女角Tess，小記即場試玩「The Outskirts」場景，Joel要帶住兩位女角逃走到Capital Building。開發小組話唔想做隻齋打喪屍嘅遊戲，而係想講溫情同埋人性。
光源效果真實

未玩「The Outskirts」版圖之前，開發小組提大家要留意光源處理效果，佢哋話用上超真實嘅即時光源處理，冇其他遊戲用過。小記一玩就發現佢哋冇講大話，主角開着電筒時可見超像真嘅擴射效果，控制Joel走到水管下面，可見水花打落佢身上時勁逼真。當主角被喪屍擒住時，女角仲會幫拖。而試玩版出現嘅受感染人類 Runner同Clicker都惡形惡相，前者鍾意成群結隊出動；後者單獨行動、觸覺敏銳，但由於佢靠聽覺定位，只要掟磚頭或玻璃樽便可引開佢。

遊戲製作人專程飛到台灣宣傳新遊戲，包括《The Last of Us》（左一）、《Tearaway》（左二及左三）、《Killzone Mercenary》（右二及右一）。

Runner圍咬難甩身

雖然喪屍現身頻率唔高，但主角彈藥少，需要執鉸剪、膠紙整土製武器，玩到中途畀幾隻Runner「圍」都幾難脫身，小記「死咗」3次先過關。此外，遊戲嘅驚慄氣氛確實做得好好，加埋音效足可令玩家腎上腺素飆升，開發小組話係從幾年前得獎電影《No Country for Old Men》（二百萬奪命奇案）得到啟發。雖然在問答環節上，開發小組話仲有好多未確定元素，但試玩版嘅水準超高，仲會有埋中文版添！

中間就係被感染嘅Runner，兩旁嘅係Clicker。

靚女喺試玩室入面首試「The Outskirts」，不過大會就唔畀影遊戲畫面。

台北遊戲展PlayStation攤位內，有大量Game Girls陪玩家打機。

同場加映：《Tearaway》紙公仔送信

《LittleBigPlanet》製作團隊開發嘅PS Vita新作《Tearaway》，改玩奇趣嘅紙雕風格，角色、場景等均由色彩繽紛嘅紙製造，觀感別樹一幟！主角分別係男信差iota同女信差atoi，需進行送信大冒險，靠掟石頭到圓形靶心，觸動機關打開紙籠困住怪物。當日小記試玩Sogport小島關卡，操作唔算難，可以將主角縮成球形穿越圍欄，亦可沿住紙牆膠紙迹滾到高處。遊戲仲支援打印功能，能夠將角色印出來摺成紙板玩具，呢個設計真係正！

《Killzone Mercenary》流動快感

開發小組強調PS Vita上推出《Killzone Mercenary》，係用番家用版《Killzone》嘅引擎，用手提遊戲機打槍Game都唔會差過PS3咁話。小記玩過現場提供嘅多人對戰版，畫面表現有九成以上PS3水準！操作亦加入咗PS Vita嘅輕觸功能，好似用手指一畫便可近距離鋸頸，捽機背可在Sniper模式Zoom近Zoom遠。至於玩落最大唔同係今次可以自由接Job，賺夠錢可以喺BlackJack Store買武器和裝備，甚至可買埋今集新增嘅8個Van-guard道具改變戰局，例如可遙控無人駕駛飛機從後突襲敵人。

In a statement issued by Naughty Dog, the developer said "as a team we pride ourselves on setting a very high quality bar for every aspect of our games--gameplay, story, art, design, technology and more. We want to make sure The Last of Us raises that bar even further - for ourselves, and most importantly, our fans."

"As we entered the final phase of development for The Last of Us, we came to realise just how massive Joel and Ellie’s journey is. But instead of cutting corners or compromising our vision, we came to the tough decision that the game deserved a few extra weeks to ensure every detail of The Last of Us was up to Naughty Dog’s internal high standards."

The fact that The Last Of Us has been delayed is good news for those who can wait a bit: The Last of Us has in fact "the longest campaign, the Naughty Dog has ever created."

Due to the size, Naughty Dog has decided to play on the 14th June 2013 move.

Creative Director Neil pressure man explains:

"In many ways [The Last of Us] Naughty Dog is the most ambitious project is. It is a brand new universe with new characters, groundbreaking technology, a new genre, and by far the longest campaign that Naughty Dog has ever made."

Next-gen version of Naughty Dog's apocalyptic adventure likely in development, analyst predicts.

A PlayStation 4 version of The Last of Us is "probably" in development alongside the upcoming PS3 version, industry analyst Michael Pachter has predicted.
Speaking about the PlayStation 4's line-up on the latest episode of Gamertag Radio, Pachter estimated that Naughty Dog's horror-adventure will see a next-gen release, and that the only platform-exclusives released on next-generation consoles will be developed by first-party studios.
"The only guys who should make exclusive next-gen titles are people who get paid for it, which means first-party or someone that they pay up for an exclusive," Pachter said.
"First-party... like what's The Last of Us going to be? That's coming out in June. Is it going to be next-gen too? Probably. My guess is that that thing gets onto the next-gen. Watch Dogs is next-gen and current-gen, you know?"
The Last of Us was delayed from its original May release date to June 14 earlier this month. The new date pins a release during the week of E3, where PlayStation 4's hardware is expected to be revealed.
"A lot of guys are doing [cross-gen development] but it's really hard to be exclusive, it really is," Pachter continued. "So exclusives [are] gonna be only first-party titles unless, like I said, Epic did Gears of War exclusive because they got paid to be exclusive, and I'm not sure you're going to see those any more.
"We'll see, but I think everybody's going to be on everything because that's just the right business model."
As well as The Last of Us, Pachter also predicts that GTA 5 will see a release on PlayStation 4 and the next-generation Xbox "eventually".
