Mossberg and Bohret tested the iPhone for two weeks in multiple usage scenarios and in various cities:
Our verdict is that, despite some flaws and feature omissions, the iPhone is, on balance, a beautiful and breakthrough handheld computer. Its software, especially, sets a new bar for the smart-phone industry, and its clever finger-touch interface, which dispenses with a stylus and most buttons, works well, though it sometimes adds steps to common functions.

- largest, highest resolution screen of any smart phone they've seen, most internal memory
- Impressive battery life and thin
- Feels solid
- Regarding the touch keyboard: "After five days of use, Walt -- who did most of the testing for this review -- was able to type on it as quickly and accurately as he could on the Palm Treo he has used for years."
- Can't use T-Mobile SIM cards
- Wi-Fi capability doesn't fully make up for the lack of a fast cellular data capability
- Multitouch: "effective, practical and fun"
- No way to copy/paste text
- Microsoft's Exchange system support
- Voice call quality was good, but not great
- Can't record video
- No Adobe Flash support
- Songs can't be set as ringtones

Apple says it plans to add features to the phone over time, via free downloads, and hints that some of these holes may be filled.

Yep, yep, big unveiling of the PlanRates is huge today! And I am going for the $60 one.

And people from HK who wants to fry the price of the US launched iPhones, would not be able to do it with this situation now.

I am lucky because I am in LA where there is a dense AT&T network. And even there, the EDGE would probably not even have them smooth YouTube playback.

水貨會點都係個問題...因為條款話唔activate的話莫講話用唔到電話功能，iPod功能都開唔到
即係就算買到都冇用...

I wouldn't want to pay the full price at launch knowing there would be a fat employee discounted price waiting to be announced.But I would get one as soon as possible.

By the way, I would be there at launch day, the store closes at 2PM just for the preparation, it reopens at 6PM and there would be straight iPhone sales until 12AM.

今日o係 Apple Store 門外見到成"咋"人排隊等買 iphone,
最多果陣人龍有成百幾人,
不過我自己就對 iphone 呢個玩意全無興趣可言,
睇廣告講到架神野好似天下無敵咁,
但係真係用果陣係咪又真係咁好洗?
比成五舊水美金買架咁o既機, 係咪真係咁值得去排一餐真係見仁見智...

尤記得當初選擇買 MP3 機果陣我都有考慮過買 ipod,
不過睇過D料同試機之後, 覺得佢雖然容量大, 載得多歌,
但係唔鍾意佢D控制, 加上用電時間問題, ipod 最後率先比我剔除選擇之列...

講真, iphone......或者我唔係用開 Apple 野, 我就唔多點睇好......

Apple 用家或者買左 iphone o既朋友, 失禮啦...
