Way back in February we heard that Joaquin Phoenix was in talks to star as The Joker in an upcoming origin movie, and today The Hollywood Reporter says that it’s a done deal.
The Joker will be part of a new brand of DC Comics movies at Warner Bros. and won’t be connected to the DCEU. Instead, it will be a much lower budget movie (in the $55 million range) and “more experimental in tone and content” according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Joker will be an “exploration of a man disregarded by society [that] is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale,” Warner Bros. said.
The Hangover’s Todd Phillips is directing The Joker. He also co-wrote the script with The Fighter’s Scott Silver. We had heard that the legendary Martin Scorsese would be producing the movie, but that news wasn’t confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter today.
The Joker will begin shooting this September in New York City. A release date hasn’t been set at this time.

由華納兄弟影業籌拍的 DC 知名反派角色「小丑」獨立電影在確定由坎城影帝瓦昆菲尼克斯（Joaquin Phoenix）主演後，日前也已經正式定檔 2019 年上映，近日則開始有越來越多的選角資訊曝光，而根據 THR 報導，勞勃狄尼洛（Robert De Niro）正在洽談加盟演出，假如談妥的話，勞勃狄尼洛將飾演一名在某種程度上協助了小丑崛起的脫口秀主持人，不難讓人聯想到《蠻牛》（Raging Bull）當中他飾演的角色傑克拉莫塔的結局。
部「小丑」起源電影將由《醉後大丈夫》（The Hangover）系列編導陶德菲利普斯（Todd Phillips）執導，並與《燃燒鬥魂》（The Fighter）編劇史考特席維（Scott Silver）一同撰寫劇本，故事內容尚未曝光，但整體製作預算會較其他 DC 擴充宇宙電影來的低，風格也會更加黑暗。
而除了勞勃狄尼洛之外，早先曝光同樣有機會參與演出的還包括了在《死侍 2》（Deadpool 2）飾演多米諾的薩琪畢茲（Zazie Beetz），她所洽談的角色是一位引起小丑興趣的單親媽媽；此片預計在今年 9 月於紐約拍，2019 年 10 月 4 日上映。

應該說呢套戲是有參考the killing joke裡小丑講既故事，而故事是真是假沒有人知道感覺把小丑寫成一個悲劇人物，來博觀眾同情。同以往的大奸大惡小丑有很大出入！
