James Cameron bringing Battle Angel to Xbox Next?

Taped comments at GDC keynote reveal the Titanic director is simultaneously working on the next-generation game and film versions of his "next project."

Lost amid the hubbub of today's Microsoft keynote at the Game Developers Conference was news that James Cameron is working on a game for the next-generation Xbox. The news came in the form of a video montage of game, consumer electronics, and entertainment luminaries speaking about the future of entertainment and the power of Microsoft's next-generation console.

GameSpotが、マイクロソフトのXbox後継機に関するプレゼンテーションの中で映画タイタニックやターミネーターで知られるジェームズキャメロンが自身の映画次回作がゲーム化されると発表されたと伝えています。

このゲームは「同じ世界、同じキャラクターを題材にした映画とゲームを同時に製作し、映画からゲームに、あるいはゲームから映画に両方とも同じように楽しめるものを目指して製作している」そうです。

キャメロン監督の次回作は日本の漫画「銃夢」（バトル・エンジェル・アリタ）の実写映画であることは知られています。これがXbox2で登場するのではないかと推測出来るのですが、マイクロソフトはその質問に対して肯定も否定もしていないそうです。
