Wireless chat, connecting to PCs and oh so much more!

In the latest Edge Magazine, a monthly videogame magazine in the UK, has revealed some very exciting news about the future of the Nintendo DS.


- Several companies, including that of THQ and WayForward Technologies, developers of Ping-Pals have been able to link together 16 DS's together, with the maximum thus far being 32 linked wirelessly together. Picto-Chat can only link up to 8.


- Nintendo is working on wireless voice chat for the Nintendo DS.


- Using Nintendo DS's built in WiFI support, many companies are starting to work on their own versions of an Internet browser.


- Final Fantasy XI users will be quite surprised to hear that Square-Enix has been toying with the possibility of having PlayOnline Service on the Nintendo DS.


- Bandai, the only publically announced company thus far, that has the Nintendo DS successfully connecting to a PC for interaction between the two devices.
