Though unofficial, sites are reporting a boost of 10 times, 2.5KB/s to 20+Kb/s on the at&t EDGE network starting in the past few days. This would be a good speed comparing with the 48KB/s in some standard 3G network.
Can't wait to get an iPhone in HK, no matter through unlocking the phone or the official release in HK. BTW, anyone heard of the rumor that Indian talents are claiming that the iPhone is not that difficult to be unlocked? If its security is at a similar level as the AppleTV (I know it is not exactly similar situation...), the wait may be over shortly for those outside-US~
