Dominic Raab is under pressure to extend consular and legal protections to British nationals in Hong Kong if they are arrested under Beijing’s new national security law.
A cross-party group of MPs and peers is demanding a meeting with the foreign secretary over the issue, which they say threatens holders of British national (overseas) passports, who could be removed to China for trial and face life sentences under draconian laws passed in June.
