Goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman has joined Swedish Allsvenskan side Degerfors IF on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old, who has been capped by England at youth level, joined our Academy at the age of 10 and made his first team debut as a second-half substitute in our 4-0 Europa League win over Ludogorets in November, 2020.

Cirkin makes Sunderland transfer
We have reached agreement with Sunderland for the transfer of Dennis Cirkin.
The 19-year-old left-back made 14 appearances for our Under-23 side in the Premier League 2 last season and has also been named on the bench on five occasions for our first team during his time at the Club.
