Ori and the Blind Forest is already one of the most critically acclaimed indie games in 2015 for the Xbox One and PC. Now its publisher Microsoft and the game's developer Moon Studios have revealed plans to launch Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition for the Xbox One, Steam and Windows 10 for launch late in 2015.
The reveal was made on Microsoft's Xbox Daily video show today. Details about what will be included in the Definitive Edition of this great 2D platformer are scarce, but Moon Studios reps stated it would include new game play areas and perhaps some new abilities. There's no word on how owners of the current version of Ori will be able to get the content in the new definitive edition.

GAMESCOM 2015: ORI AND THE BLIND FOREST: DEFINITIVE EDITION ANNOUNCED
Coming this holiday season.
Today during Gamescom, Moon Studios announced Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is coming to Xbox One, Windows 10, and Steam this holiday season.
While details are scarce at the moment, the studio revealed on Xbox Daily: Live the Definitive Edition will be "the ultimate version of Ori." The studio says it focused heavily on fan feedback while developing this new version, which will include new areas, mechanics, artwork, and possibly new abilities.
Ori and the Blind Forest was released earlier this year to critical acclaim and commercial success, becoming profitable after just one week.
