It is understood Spurs have proposed a fee of £12.7m with add-ons, though Rennes want an unconditional £15m.

The French club replied to Tottenham's written offer by suggesting face-to-face talks but are yet to hear back.

Another unnamed Premier League club have registered interest in signing M'Vila, although it is not Arsenal.

Lloris to decide on Spurs switch - Aulas

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas says he expects Tottenham to step up their pursuit of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the coming days.

Aulas indicated that Spurs have been in contact regarding the availability of the France international, and said the success of the deal now rests with the player.

"I told Hugo today about certain exchanges (with Spurs)," Aulas said at a press conference on Monday.

Fulham Manager Martin Jol cut a disappointed figure after the Whites went out of the Capital One Cup at the Second Round stage on Tuesday night.

A second-half penalty from Gary Madine secured a 1-0 win for Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough to send the Whites out of the competition.

Speaking afterwards, Jol admitted that the Owls had thoroughly deserved their victory.

"We made five changes but we had enough to cause them problems so it was disappointing," Jol told the official website.

"We mixed it around a little but we struggled to get going in the first half.

"Then we lost the goal and we stepped up towards the end but we just didn't have enough."

Jol also confirmed post-match that the Club has accepted a bid for Mousa Dembele from Tottenham Hotspur. The player is currently undergoing a medical.

雖然我都同意,迪比利都唔算係好勁,而且個價都好鬼貴...不過都買左,唯有向好果面諗
佢有身位又大隻,而且腳下功夫同hold波都ok,速度一般
有遠射腳頭,防守意識都唔算差
只係傳中,長傳,閱讀球賽能力同傳球視野都唔多強
可以安排佢踢咩位都有d難估...安排佢踢CAM會唔多好,CF都可以話勉強ok,不過現在個陣都唔用CF...感唔通佢踢RM頂L7??CM頂L29/S30??
還是AVB原本打算用15m買個sub回來

Frédéric Antonetti has suggested that time may run out on a move for Yann M'Vila with the transfer deadline on Friday.

M'Vila is a target for Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas and according to Rennes, the London club have already had a £12m bid rejected earlier this summer, with no further progress made since the initial bid.

Antonetti told France Football: "We have had some contact but nothing more than that. The more time goes on the more we can think he will stay."

Tottenham poised to land Lloris

Tottenham Hotspur are on the brink of agreeing a £12 million deal to sign France international keeper Hugo Lloris from Lyon.

Tottenham are noted for their frantic activity in the final hours of the transfer window and, after agreeing a deal with Fulham to sign midfielder Moussa Dembele on Tuesday, they are now confident of signing Lloris ahead of Friday's transfer deadline.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Spurs have stepped up their pursuit of Lloris in recent days, with manager Andre Villas-Boas viewing the 25-year-old as a better long-term option in his first team than 41-year-old Brad Friedel.

Shakhtar Donetsk forward Willian remains a firm target for Spurs and his eagerness to move to North London should see the deal concluded before Friday as well, with Villas-Boas on course for a revamped team ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture against Norwich at White Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, reports in Germany suggest Rafael van der Vaart's proposed move to Hamburg may yet be revived, with Spurs willing to part with the injury prone Dutchman if they sign suitable replacements in the coming days.

The Belgium international has won many admirers with his performances in the Premier League since arriving at Craven Cottage in August 2010 from AZ Alkmaar, with who he won the Eredivisie league title in 2009.

Dembele originally joined Fulham as a forward, although his ability to drive forward with the ball and his eye for a pass saw him played in an attacking midfield role last season, a move that proved a huge success. In total, he made 74 appearances for the Cottagers, scoring seven times.

在夏季轉會市場,我估除左VDV有機被清洗之外,L7同P8係唔會被賣...

之前當佢入完A25後AVB講,佢個戰術只需要用一個ST,所以陣中有3個ST就夠用(A25,D18,KANE),已經唔需要再買人(ST)

有可能,AVB以前教慣左波圖,以為人人都好似法卡奧同侯克感,場場都會有好表現,入球唔會死火,3個ST的確真係夠用,不過我覺得熱刺需要4個ST先夠用

Levy’s move for Willian looks to have ground to a halt.

Ukrainian club Shakhtar want about £20m for the striker, who has also been a target for Chelsea.

Levy travelled to Ukraine at the weekend to place Tottenham’s bid for a player they see as a direct replacement for Croatian Luka Modric – who joined Real Madrid this week – but Shakhtar rejected his £12m offer.

Spurs could go back with an improved bid today, but are unwilling to meet Shakhtar’s valuation.
