【E3 2013】『塊魂』の高橋慶太氏と『風ノ旅ビト』プロデューサーRobin Hunicke氏がタッグを組んで新作を開発中

E3 2013におけるインディーカンファレンスHorizonに、

詳しいゲーム内容についてはまだ明らかにされていませんが、本作のコアとなるアイデアは高橋慶太氏が2歳の息子と遊んでいる時に“積み木が突然生命を持って動き出したらどうなるか”と想像した事で生まれたのだそうです。

イベント中に披露されたスケッチ（記事冒頭に掲載）には可愛らしい積み木達が描かれていますが、果たして本作はどのようなゲームとなるのでしょうか。実際のプレイ映像などの公開が待たれます。

DayZ set to arrive on PS4, but could skip Xbox One

Dean Hall has suggested that his standalone version of Arma 2 mod DayZ, intended for PC and next gen consoles, might not be released on Xbox One due to publishing and patching restrictions.
Microsoft does not allow indies to self publish and charges for patches, while on PS4, issuing a patch is free, and indies can publish titles themselves, says Hall.
“We’re happy to see DayZ on any console but there is a… I guess one problem,” Hall told us. “The console needs to not charge for us to do updates and it needs to be indie title friendly.”
When asked whether Microsoft and Sony are still charging for patches, Hall replied: “As far as I’m aware, Microsoft is, Sony’s not. And Sony allows you to self-publish. But who knows? Maybe Microsoft will change. From our perspective, we need self-publishing because DayZ would be a great digital download title.”
Hall added that Sony’s free patching policy is preferable because there are a lot of bugs in DayZ. “It’s gonna take a long time for us to be able to iron this out and we don’t wanna have to be paying ten, twenty thousand dollars – whatever it is – every time we wanna do an update.”
Hall’s remarks here echo Phil Fish’s decision not to patch Fez last year, as it would cost his studio “tens of thousands of dollars.”

Demon’s Souls 2 and “Evolve” Listed for the PS4 by a Swedish Retailer

A popular retailer in Sweden called CDON has listed Demon’s Souls 2 for the PS4, along with a new game called “Evolve”. The latter is owned by Take Two which they purchased from THQ.

The Demon’s Souls IP belongs to Sony but the studio that worked on the first game is now working on Dark Souls 2 so if the project indeed exists, it could mean that Sony has found someone else to develop the game.
However, it’s still a retailer listing so take it with a pinch of salt. Wouldn’t you love for it to be real? We would too. There are also a bunch of other games found on their PS4 section. The retailer is said to be very reliable so hopefully it turns out to be true.

Of course we don’t know whether this is an actual confirmation on the possibility that the fifth numbered Persona game is indeed coming, or Index simply registered the domain in order to prevent domain squatters from getting it first, but it sure lights a spark of hope for those who are waiting for more Persona games, especially after the recent bankruptcy news.
Interestingly enough persona5.com was already registered on February the 10th, but the identity of the registrant is protected by a domain privacy service.
A couple days ago Atlus announced that work on future titles is going to continue, and that the brand is going to remain active in the video game business. A possible announcement of an upcoming Persona 5 would be the perfect way to put the seal on that.

Sony trademarks 'PlayStation TV' after abandoning 2006 mark

Sony filed a trademark and service mark for "PlayStation TV" on June 26, covering hardware and potential related services, such as streaming television or movies, an IGN reader spotted. Sony held a trademark and service mark for "PlayStation TV" in September 2006, but it was abandoned in September 2012. Both marks feature the same logo and share features protected under the filings.

Sony didn't manufacture a PlayStation TV in the six years it held the first trademark, though it did launch a PlayStation-branded 3DTV in 2011. Recall that Sony holds the patent for a system that turns ads into interactive mini-games, asking viewers to yell out company names such as "McDonald's!" to end commercials.

Battlestar Galactica writer working with Sony Santa Monica



Battlestar Galactica writer working with Sony Santa Monica on non-God of War game

Veteran television screenwriter Michael Angeli, known for his work on TV series Battlestar Galactica, Dark Angel and Caprica, is working with God of War developer Sony Santa Monica on an all-new project.

Angeli said at this morning's Battlestar Galactica panel at San Diego Comic-Con he's working on a new video game with Sony that's not a God of War title. Speaking with Angeli after the panel, he said he's been doing writing on the game for the past two and a half years. After the studio wrapped development on God of War: Ascension for PlayStation 3, he said, the full team of about 150 staffers transitioned to work on the new and still unannounced project.

Due to the unannounced nature of the project, Angeli said he couldn't elaborate on the game or the platform, but said that his Battlestar Galactica work, as well as his journalism background, helped him land the writing gig.

Earlier this year, players decoded a secret message in God of War: Ascension that ultimately lead to an image of the planet Earth with the message "When the Earth stops, the journey begins..."

世嘉將於8月18日在東京新宿Alta Vision大屏幕上“宣布一個驚喜”，首先是公佈世嘉遊戲角色人氣大賽冠軍，隨後就將公佈一個《如龍》系列遊戲的驚喜。驚喜是什麼呢?
首先不可能是《如龍5》的英文版，如果是的話就不應該選在東京，因為沒人會關心。因此我們推測世嘉要宣布的很可能是《如龍6》。
首先，這個時間非常符合世嘉以往的慣例：
《如龍3》2008年7月2日
《如龍4》2009年7月24日
《如龍 Of The END》2011年9月9日，宣傳圖片首曝於8月25日
《如龍5》2012年8月31日
可以看出來，它們全都是7到9月份公佈的，所以8月18日的時間與之前的習慣非常吻合。接下來再看看這些作品在日本的正式發售時間：
