Batman Sequel Title Announced
And Warners confirms Joker casting.

July 31, 2006 - Warner Bros. has announced the title of the next film in the Batman franchise. The Dark Knight will be the name of the Chris Nolan-directed flick. And the studio confirms that Heath Ledger will play the role of The Joker. Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures, made the announcement late Monday.



"Chris' unique vision is what made Batman Begins such an outstanding film and we could not imagine anyone else at the helm of The Dark Knight," said Robinov. "We also can't wait to see two such formidable actors as Christian and Heath face off with each other as Batman and The Joker."

"I'm excited to continue the story we started with Batman Begins," added Nolan. "Our challenge in casting The Joker was to find an actor who is not just extraordinarily talented but fearless. Watching Heath Ledger's interpretation of this iconic character taking on Christian Bale's Batman is going to be incredible."

The Dark Knight begins filming in early '07 from a script by Jonathan Nolan. Before they battle each other as the Caped Crusader and the Clown Prince of Crime, Bale and Ledger will first appear together in the Bob Dylan-themed pic I'm Not There.

In related news, The Batman-on-Film.com website reiterates the rumor that the next Batman movie will feature multiple villains, namely Joker and The Penguin. The latter will reportedly be reconceived for the film as "a British arms dealer/mob boss with designs on Gotham."

And who is said to have been offered the role of The Penguin? Nolan reportedly wants previously rumored candidate Philip Seymour Hoffman, who ironically beat Heath Ledger in this past year's Oscar race for Best Actor. Like Ledger, however, Hoffman is said to be reluctant to join the sequel.

Finally, a BoF report claims that Ryan Phillippe is in the running for the role of D.A. Harvey Dent, a.k.a. the future Two-Face. Phillippe appeared in last year's Best Picture, Crash, and will next be seen in Clint Eastwood's Flags of Our Fathers.

BATMAN 別名叫DARK KNIGHT


因為Frank Miller 係近代BATMAN好有影響力作家,書中有時會用DARK KNIGHT 稱呼BATMAN
連batman begin 好多地方都參考Frank Miller的作品: batman :year one
(可能再早期的書有用DARK KNIGHT,我都唔清楚)


其中Frank Miller的
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns
Batman: The Dark Knight Strikes Again
直接用左 Dark Knight 做書名,都係經典

所以有batman = dark knight的概念
所以我話用dark knight做戲名,又有joker坐鎮,加上begin 重塑番batman 形象
第二集係好值得期待

我細個睇兒童週刊話有一段 batman 俾個勁人拗腰搞到殘廢，之後又有個接班人，但係佢殺犯，搞到舊 batman 又出山。之間又有個 night wing 出黎間場 (佢之前係 robin ??)
之後又點 ?? 到依家又點 ??

in the 90s the batman movies were horrible, and Waners Bro. want to re-produce the batman movie franchise again. Thats why the last Batman movie was called "Batman Begin" its a new beginning of the batman franchise.

Christopher Nolan is a great director too, he made Memento with the cast of Christian Bale. Just like the interview said, Christopher Nolan has his own unique vision on film, same with Director Tim Burton, who directed the 2 great batman movies in the 80s

“the system”賦于Azrael的力量並不大為外人所知 人們只知道它能讓一個普通人備有超乎尋常的力量和速度。當Valley穿上戰鬥服 變換身份時 原來那個溫和的學生．蝙蝠俠的助手不見了 他的另一重人格開始出現 成了一部被沒定好程式的機器。 最終 Valley被痊癒後的蝙蝠俠擊敗。自此 Valley恢愎了Azrael的身份 作為蝙蝠俠的“特使”進行自己的戰鬥。作為Azrael , Valley可以通過“the system”獲得超人類的本領 但“the system" 卻會逐漸侵蝕他的心智 將他推向瘋狂。Valley一直受到幻覺的折磨最後犧牲－－盡管沒有人找到他的屍體 眾所周知 在漫畫世界裡沒有屍體就意味看他並沒有死去。

Eric Roberts has been cast in the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight, according to the LA Daily News. Roberts will play Sal Maroni, a major mob competitor with Carmine Falcone, who was played by Tom Wilkinson in the first film. Both characters appeared in The Long Halloween, a 13-issue comic book limited series written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale, that is said to have inspired The Dark Knight's story-line.
