New abilities and weapons are unlocked with the more gold you get and the only way to get more gold is by blindly killing everything in your way. I played through the first ten-minutes of Captain Blood and the game is fun to say the least. I like the visual presentation and the pirate setting is refreshing. Enemy AI was lacking, but that may just be because the enemies are always stupid easy on the first level.
