Jak and Daxter HD Collection confirmed for PS3

A Norgewian website has apparently confirmed that a Jak and Daxter HD collection is in development for PS3. As translated by a GameFaQ user, the post states that Justin Richmond from Naughty Dog confirmed that a Jak and Daxter HD collection is in development and will be releasing in 2012 for the PS3.
He also stated that it’ll feature the first three games of the series, all in HD. Here’s the full translation:

During an Uncharted 3-press conference in Oslo, Justin Richmond from Naughty Dog questioned about a lot of stuuf, also the Jak and Daxter series.He clearly said to much when he told us that there will be a Jak and Dakter collection for Playstation 3 in 2012. This package will contain the first three games of the series and all will be upgraded in HD.

We’ll send Sony an email and see if they’re willing to confirm this, in the meantime, this is great news if it proves out to be true.
Naughty Dog is currently developing Uncharted 3 for PS3, and it’s scheduled to release on November 1, 2011.

Update: Sony Computer Entertainment America has responded to our request for a statement, confirming that the Jak & Daxter Trilogy -- referred to by SCEA as Jak & Daxter Collection -- is indeed real.

What did SCEA have to say? "We can confirm the Jak and Daxter Collection is coming and will have more news to share shortly."

Rejoice!

Early last month, we referred you to a report that saw a purported Jak & Daxter HD Collection on a South African games retailer's website. Whether or not it was just a mistake or the retailer moving on knowledge it shouldn't have yet revealed is uncertain, but now, we have more substantial evidence to fan the flames.

It appears that Jak & Daxter Trilogy is real, and will be coming exclusively to the PlayStation 3.

If you head on over to usk.de, Germany's official game's rating board (known as Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle) and search for Jak & Daxter, the following comes up:

This basically confirms that the game is coming out in Europe, though no rating has yet appeared on the ESRB's website, so a North American release is still uncertain. We've reached out to Sony for official comment and will update this story when they respond.

係呀星期四已經見到, 我哩度貴過出面都係$25X, 當時諗住睇定D評價講佢個HD化做得好唔好先決定入, 依家見review都唔差, IGN - 9/10, Gameinformer 9.25/10, Just Push Start 5/5, 黎緊星期二等埋Twisted Metal 一齊買
