Apparently Finding Dory picks up six months after the first movie, with Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) living a quiet life among the clown fishes. After going with Nemo on a class trip to see manta rays migrate back home, her home sickness leads the forgetful Dory on a quest to find where she came from.

“The movie will be mostly set at the California Marine Biology Institute, a huge complex of sea life rehabilitation and aquarium, where Dory was born and raised,” Morris says. “We will get to meet new characters, like an octopus, sea lions, a beluga whale, among others.”

Diane Keaton and Eugene Levy voice Dory’s parents, and the setting was apparently changed early on after Pixar screened Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s controversial Sea World documentary Blackfish. Setting the film at a Marine Biology Institute instead of an aquatic park will hopefully put the filmmakers on the right side of history.

Finding Dory features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others. Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of Dory’s life.

Findng Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton returns to the directors chair for the animated film, which features the voices of Ellen DeGeneres, Albert Brooks, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy, Willem Dafoe, Dominic West, Ty Burrell and Idris Elba. Walt Disney Pictures will release the film on June 17, 2016.

'Finding Dory' Drowns Animated Box Office Records With $136 Million Opening

Disney finds itself atop the weekend box office for the eleventh time this year, this time it's the Pixar brand coming up big with Finding Dory. The release is another 2016 animated hit for the studio on the heels of Zootopia, as Dory broke its share of box office records this weekend including the largest opening weekend for an animated feature. It was also a good weekend for the week's other new wide release, the action-comedy Central Intelligence starring Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, which could be looking at a $100+ million domestic run after its opening weekend. Meanwhile, last weekend's new releases didn't exactly deliver the goods in their sophomore sessions.

Scoring a number one finish for the weekend and a record opening for an animated feature, Disney and Pixar's Finding Dory brought in an estimated $136.1 million this weekend from 4,305 theaters for a $31,634 per theater average. It's an opening comparable to the 90+% bumps both sequels in the Toy Story franchise saw over their predecessors with Dory's opening weekend serving as a 93.8% bump over Finding Nemo's $70.2 million opening back in 2003.

Dory also scored an "A" CinemaScore and played to an audience that was 45% male vs. 55% female. The age breakdown saw 65% of the audience being made up by families and 32% of the overall audience made up of children 12 and under.

On the record front, on top of the animated opening weekend record, Dory broke the record for the largest single day and opening day for an animated film with its opening day totaling an estimated $54.9 million. Included in that opening day total is $9.2 million in Thursday previews, also a record for an animated feature. Of course, it's a bit of a conflict to call both items "records" when you consider Dory wouldn't hold the single day record over Shrek the Third's $47 million if you don't include the additional $9.2 million. Also going down was the record for the largest per theater average for a wide opening animated release, topping Shrek the Third's $29,507 average after it opened to a then record of $121.6 million from 4,122 theaters.

Dory also opened in 29 international territories this weekend scoring an estimated $50 million for a global opening gross of $186.2 million. Its international roll-out includes the largest Pixar opening ever in China ($17.5M) and the biggest Disney/Pixar opening weekend ever in Australia ($7.6M). The release, so far, makes up 32% of the international marketplace with openings in France and Spain taking place next weekend along with the rest of Europe in the coming weeks.

如果你一直喜歡皮克斯的原因是因為它的獨創性的話，接下來的幾年可能不會那麼符合你的期望。除了李安克里奇（Lee Unkrich）的作品《Coco》之外，皮克斯接下來將推出一系列的續集作品，其中包含《汽車總動員 3》（Cars 3）、《玩具總動員 4》（Toy Story 4）以及《超人特攻隊 2》（The Incredibles 2）。雖然說續集並不代表不好看或沒那麼精彩，像是《玩具總動員 2》就是皮克斯最傑出的作品之一，但是看到這樣過度依賴前作的成功而創作續集的風氣多少還是有點令人沮喪。皮克斯的總裁吉姆莫利斯（Jim Morris）跟 EW 雜誌解釋說，這並不是一個戰略只是製作人對於續集有想法。

「我們原本的計畫是一年出一部原創作品，然後每隔一年做一部續集。當我們在這個計畫上各加上一部作品的時候，就會造成 7 部續集雨後春筍般的從 21 部原創作品中誕生，如果從我們開始接手皮克斯的 2006 年開始算起的話。其實這一切主要的原因還是《海底總動員 2》的導演安德魯史丹頓（Andrew Stanton）有想法、《超人特攻隊 2》的導演布萊德柏德（Brad Bird）也有想法，所以就讓我們走到了今天這一步。」

不過有個好消息就是，在《超人特攻隊 2》之後會有至少四部原創作品在計畫上。

「所有的作品在《玩具總動員 4》以及《超人特攻隊 2》之後都會是原創的了。在 2019 年的《超人特攻隊 2》之後，皮克斯接下來的兩個作品分別會暫訂在 2020 年的三月還有六月上映，兩部是原創且獨立的，但兩部同樣都是帶入觀眾進入我們以往不曾帶領過大家但又是充滿信念的世界。接下來的這兩個作品是工作室在早期尚未排進行程表的作品，但現在非常有可能跟大家見面，而我們也沒有安排任何的續集計畫。」

相信很多人都很喜歡《天外奇蹟》（Up）、《料理鼠王》（Ratatouille）或是《瓦力》（WALL-E） 。無論這些作品有沒有續集，大家可能更期望看到下一個《腦筋急轉彎》（Inside Out），而不是第二部《腦筋急轉彎》。（COLLIDER）

SLoP　都仲有啲可愛嘅人類，但呢度無個人類係「好人」咁滯

有幾唔好睇？個細路睇完，過咗兩個禮拜之後，仲識見街上拖住嘅狗，指出佢係寵物嚟；而呢部，過咗一粒鍾之好似無再提

以前睇 FN　就覺得佢玩 Memento （借 AVCLUB 評語）幾搞鬼，但係咁時間一長，你會覺得佢好煩厭，可能佢唔啱担正。

黑水嗰度，細路睇完問返，點解突然變黑嘅？哈哈。

細路無乜得著預咗，但弊在連大人都無~~~

技巧都有間題：例如終於重聚（唔洗要用spoiler掛？），喜事嚟，點知成個畫面灰灰綠綠？

SLoP 唔係話特別好睇（細路最有感覺反而係 Zootopia)，但當動作片睇完算無嘢，犯駁（免個戰鬥值～～～）同無乜轉合預咗。

氣，咁講喇，始終睇 Pixar 「大」嘅，始終期待有少少高啲。

唔熟美國文化但熟日本文化O既應該會明，呢套爆紅O既主因之一係原配聲優，正如KUNG FU PANDA一樣，都係原配聲優，但DORY呢個原配聲優O既號召力比PO O既大上好多好多倍。

當然，如果唔知原配聲優係乜水同有乜咁巴閉就當我無講過啦。

其實好想睇英文版（尤其上次畀Zootopia虐待完），但撞唔啱有。
