Class badges
* Rifleman:
The default multiplayer character is assigned when no primary badge is selected. A secondary badge may still be added. Riflemen can start with most weapons, except for the specialized ones.
* Engineer:
Primary badge ability: Sets up an automated turret which targets the enemy.
Secondary badge ability: Repairs ammunition dispensers, mounted guns, and automated turrets.
* Medic:
Primary badge ability: Revives downed team mates.
Secondary badge ability: Throws a health pack, which can be picked up by other players.
* Scout:
Primary badge ability: Uses a cloaking suit to become near-invisible.
Secondary badge ability: Tags all on-screen enemy players with a hidden marker, which broadcasts their coordinates to team mates.

Warzone Modes:
Warzone會一路玩一路轉mode,即係打打下搶軍旗,當贏左/輸左或時間夠打和,就會轉去下個mode,所以要留意轉mode時訊息。
Assassination 行刺
要殺敵隊其中一人,會有訊息話你知殺邊個,亦會顯示佢係咩方位同距離。而另一隊就會保護佢,最重要就係目標的人要知道自己係目標,唔好衝出去比sniper打... 打完會立即攻守互換,甘樣公平d。
Bodycount 殺敵人
最基本的隊際殺敵人模式,每次warzone一定會出現一次
Capture and Hold 佔領
佔領地區,基本上走埋去幾秒就會佔領,敵人亦可反佔領,所以可選擇留守或到下一個地點
Search and Destroy 毀壞
要放炸彈毀壞兩個敵人設施,放完炸彈後要保護個炸彈,因為敵人可以來拆彈
Search and Retrieve 搶軍旗
其實即係搶軍旗,不過係搶一件廣播器,一路行時會不停廣播。

Killzone 2 “Flash and Thunder” Pack Arriving on June 11

As we hinted way back at GDC, the next Killzone 2 DLC goes “retro” with the release of the “Flash and Thunder” pack arriving after E3. Here’s a sneak peek as to what you can expect.
Guerrilla Games takes us back on a nostalgic journey with fan favorites from the first Killzone: Beach Head and Southern Hills. Both levels have been completely re-envisioned with the Killzone 2 engine and technology.
In Beach Head, the Helghast land on the sandy Vektan beaches forcing the ISA to defend their stronghold. Torrential rain and gale-force winds batter the landscape, with the water-filled craters supplying only limited cover. This harsh terrain requires you to keep your “head on a swivel” as enemies lurk around every corner.

Southern Hills takes the battle to a central Helghast base camp located on a hilltop. This version has been beefed up considerably over the original Killzone counterpart, with smaller structures offering plenty of hiding places that lend itself well to close quarters combat and long range sniping. Take cover when you hear alarms going off, as there might be a radioactive surprise headed your way.

You may have seen the official announcement of the first DLC map pack for Killzone 2 on Spike TV and currently on Gametrailers.com, but we wanted to reiterate some of the key details of what will be available as well as let you know the official date it will be on the PSN for download: April 30th. The price for this map pack is still TBA.
The first DLC pack, called “Steel and Titanium”, will contain two brand new multiplayer maps with new gameplay elements and strategic twists, sure to test even the most skilled players.

The first map in the pack is Wasteland Bullet, and the action will take place on the bullet train that and transports goods and troops between Pyrrhus and the Wasteland. The game is a frenzied firefight to wrestle control of the train from the enemy and into the hands of your faction. With the train moving at full speed, players will need to remain aware of the immediate environment as well as enemies – hitting an overhead obstacle at this speed will mean instant death.

The second map, Vekta Cruiser, will find ISA troops boarding a vast ship with the goal to repel a force of assaulting Helghast troops while also protecting the cruiser itself from heavy Helghan fire. The action takes place entirely indoors in a frantic and claustrophobic battle where attackers lurk around every corner.

Killzone 2 Patch 1.27 Details

Even though the game has been out in stores for a while, Guerrilla remains committed to keeping Killzone 2 one of the strongest multiplayer experiences for PLAYSTATION 3. This week sees the release of Patch 1.27, which introduces a number of tweaks based on direct feedback from the Killzone community. We sat down with Eric Boltjes, Guerrilla’s Lead Multiplayer Designer, to walk us through the most important changes and the reasons for their implementation.
First of all, Eric, can you run us through the highlights of Patch 1.27?
Sure! Most importantly, we’ve added functionality to make the process of finding and playing with friends much easier, tweaked the Skirmish Mode to keep it interesting for players with lower-bandwidth network connections, introduced a new ‘High Precision’ option to the controller configuration menu, and improved the overall balance of the game. There’s also a host of smaller changes as well, but I’ll save that for the change log.
Let’s start with the first one: finding and playing with friends. How has that been changed?
We’ve examined how party systems work and added similar functionality to our game where possible. The ‘Join Friend’ option has been changed so that the player can automatically join a friend’s faction and squad – even if faction balancing is on. In addition, squads and their factions are now persistent over multiple games, so friends can keep playing together continuously.

You said the Skirmish Mode been tweaked – can you explain?
Well, we’ve decided to unlock all the badges in Skirmish Mode. Considering that the game has been out for a while, and that many players have already reached the rank of General, we believe this is a nice way for players with lower-bandwidth network connections to experience the full range of weapons and abilities available in the Warzone.
Control-wise, what exactly does the new ‘High Precision’ option do?
When this option is switched on, it makes the analog sticks more responsive to small movements. Turned off, the controls behave exactly as they did before the patch. It’s not a radical overhaul of the control system, so the layout and the ‘weight’ of the controls remain the same.
Still, a lot of us here at Guerrilla really enjoy the new High Precision option, so we’ve decided to switch it on by default for new players. Existing Killzone 2 players will have the option turned off by default after patching – we wouldn’t want to force a sudden change to the controls on you!

How have you improved the overall balance of the game?
For starters, Patch 1.27 allows players to switch factions manually if the factions are unbalanced. If the factions consist of, say, 13 players versus 11 players, a player from the largest faction can manually switch over to make it an even 12 versus 12. Switching in the other direction is not allowed, so players from the smaller team can’t defect to the larger team if the battle doesn’t go their way. Players who switch over retain all their points, but squad affiliations will of course be lost.
Furthermore, we’ve removed the temporary invulnerability awarded to players who spawn at a spawn point other than the base camp. The players will still be safe at their own base camp, but custom-placed or mission-based spawn points do not yield temporary invulnerability anymore. This will hopefully give opposing players already at this location a fair chance.
Finally, we’ve made a couple of changes to the Badge abilities. The Assault Badge, for instance, was deemed too powerful by many players – so we tweaked down its Armor ability from 100 hit points to 50 hit points. The Tactician Badge’s secondary ability (to request air support from a Sentry Bot) has also been tweaked to make the Sentry Bot more useful. It can aim more accurately now, and its health is a little higher as well. To make it even more useful, we’ve reduced the way automated turrets target them, so they’re not shot down as fast. It should certainly make the Air Support Specialist ribbon easier to obtain!

Patch 1.24 - Fewer Bugs, More Features!

Hey Killzone fans!
In a continuing effort to provide support for Killzone 2 Online, and to show you day-1 fans of Killzone that we mean business, we are very happy to announce the upcoming 1.24 patch. This patch is the biggest one yet, and addresses a large number of reported issues, exploits and bugs - but it also adds new functionality to the game for you to enjoy! I would like to highlight the fact that we are adding 3 new ranks to the game, reached at 5000, 10000 and 100000 points respectively. These ranks do not give any rewards but it allows the real hardcore players to show off their hard work to everyone in-game! Other highlights include a new 17-24 player search game filter, enlarged HUD radar distance and a much requested “Join Clan Member” tab in the join game screen. The patch also allows you to play against the next batch of contenders: Japan, who will be able to buy their copies of Killzone 2 on the 23rd of April and will be joining the community online.
Allow me to clarify on these new features a little: The new ranks we’ve added are basically a reward to all the players out there that have massive amounts of points, and we hope that it inspires other players to keep on playing. The 17-24 player filter was a direct request from the community because a lot of people think the ’sweet spot’ of the multiplayer levels is around 24 players instead of 32 and are creating custom games accordingly. The Join Clan Member tab was also a direct community request, allowing players to join clan members when they are playing regular non-clan related games.
There has been a lot of discussion on the forums about the lack of a ‘party system’ in Killzone 2 and rest assured, we are working hard on creating features that will make it easier for you to play with your friends online. These features include being able to join the same faction of a friend already in-game directly from the join game menus, manually being able to switch faction during gameplay and making existing squads consistent over multiple rounds; no more need to create a new squad every single round. These features will be coming to a patch near you soon!

We hope this patch shows how dedicated we are to the game, and that it will allow you to enjoy Killzone 2 Online just that little bit more! So glad you guys liked playing on Phyrus Rise.
Normal games we always think about getting kills/points, this type of game is more at aiming to stop the opponent with the speaker, and not worrying about dying so much. So the action seems more fast-paced.
The spawn point is much more important in this game. You can put it at the speaker-spawn spot, your defending spot, or maybe 20-30 steps near the speaker-holder (so you can respawn back near the speaker straight away).
Really does have a tug-of-war feel.
What was the time set for each round? Did it feel like enough? And do you guys think if it should add the engineer?
And did the light machine gun feel too powerful? when spectating, i saw it sometimes took down 3 guys at the same time.:hahaha:

I planned to allow Engineer class, but it could make us harder to score. If team A won the first half, then they played 4 enginneers and 4 turrents in the 2nd half.... I'm actually thinking adding Scout.

我地而家打一場分上下半場喎.每半場各 3 pts 10 mins. 半場時雙方對調 (ISA <-> Helghast)
開 game 記住開埋 Spectator 呀~~ 等多 d 人睇吸引多 d 人玩啦希望.

舉行日期: 11th & 12th May (Monday & Tuesday)
時間: 23:00 - 0100
參賽資格: Must be GAF clan member
Game: 分上下半場. 各 10 mins 3 分制 Search & Retrieve.
1. 上半場, 對賽兩隊隊長先入 game, 選 Auto 睇下入左邊一邊.
2. 下半場, 相方對調.
計總成積定勝負. 勝方 3 分, 負方 0 分, 賽和各 1 分
Map: Pyrrhus Rise
Mission: Search & Retrieve
Duration: 10mins & 3 points
Classes allowed: Rifleman, Medic & Tactician
Weapons allowed: All available to the classes above
Badges allowed: Medic & Tactician. Badges of other classes are not allowed
Friendly Fire: ON
Clan Only: ON
Spectator: ON
分隊:

每隊比賽之後, 麻煩由勝方隊 Leader post 對賽結果, 比數 及 得分者

我用NETVIGATOR, 之前入唔到EU, JP同AUS...只可以打US
唔知佢改左乜野, 家下只係入EU會LAG, 其他好正常x)
I won't be back till 12midnight for sure tonight. If you guys don't mind, ahFUNG, Sanger1986 and MTse can play 3 on 3 if they're online.
Engineer's sentry turrets may make it unbalanced. and repair is pretty strong too (ISA getting the machine gun that shoots the middle area :eek:)
But as the map is so big it might still be ok. better if everybody first learned the ways across first.
There are some things that I do suggest:
1. Add saboteur. With friendly-fire off, it can be scary and need to think first before shooting. and can cheat the enemy and run across. :dance:
C4 can also be pretty evil.
2. 2teams vs 2teams. even out any extra players onto both sides (e.g. 6vs6)
Can have Bravo team defend/cover while Alpha attack.
(and more importantly, let players that don't have all team-members online at the same time get a chance to play. cough*mine*cough) :hehehe:
3. Keep friendly-fire off. It was funny yesterday seeing a team member taking his whole rushing team down with one spray of ammo~ please keep! :p

Yeah. 斯羅 on our team might be the only one online at 11:30pm.
So see if you can arrange vs ryan team at 11:30 and us at 12.
If your team is really unable to vs us at 12.
And if 斯羅 is ok with it, then maybe you can choose 1 candidate from your team to vs 斯羅 one-on-one at 11:30pm. :cwm9:
(I tried it against Colus yesterday, it isn't that bad!)
It doesn't help the team co-op, but at least it's better than our team never getting on the scoreboard. :hahaha:

3. 用油筒炸死3 件敵人

搶橋果版, 落橋底搶 AA Gun 前. 等機會一槍打爆個油筒.

I haven't play for a week or 2 and I'm still trying to finish some old games. Playing and spectating last night reminds me how much more I enjoy this game than GTA4 which I finished the main story last week.

Playing KZ2 in Elite difficulty level was a torture to myself. I don't like playing game like that. It was so frustrating. But after I got the Top 1% trophy, I thought I should finish this game completely. That's why I spent many hours, keep dying.. and Finally, I made it. haha
After the league, I may play KZ2 less like you, need to finish other games ^.^

原來 1.26 剩係 for 日版. 主要係 fix 其他版本 join JP host hang 機問題.

玩完 KZ2 Elite mode, 唔想再玩 d 玩到爆粗既 game. 攪到個人好緊張好忟.

講野又聽唔到,係個host事定server事:confused:
試過一次打打下個個停哂係度俾我射, 但又射極都唔死. 但我又無斷喎, 隔左一陣間又正常返. 同埋玩玩下, 畫面底下出過兩次定三次 "Session master not available"
