阿仙奴足球俱樂部雖於 1886 年成立，但到 1913 年才遷往倫敦北部高貝利球場作為其主場。由於球場位於住宅區內，要擴建極為困難，所以俱樂部於 1999 年 11 月宣佈興建新球場，選址高貝利附近的阿什伯頓 (Ashburton Grove) 興建，預計成本為 3 億 5 千 7 百萬鎊，球場占地 17 英畝，可容納 6 萬名觀眾。球場啟用後，預計平均每季將會有 1140000 人次（高貝利每季平均為 722795 人次）。球場設有 150 個貴賓包廂（高貝利為 48 個），為照顧殘疾人士而設 250 個輪椅座位。球場設置 41 台攝影機位置，以及 215 個傳媒記者坐席，同時包含一間 1000 平方米的球|商品專門店，不過新球場將無法擴建。
球場的設計是由 HOK 運動公司擔任，他們曾經擔任雪梨之澳大利亞運動場、新溫布萊英格蘭國家運動場、皇家雅士葛馬場及溫布頓中央網球場的設計。麥卡賓爵士 (Sir Robert McAlpine) 的建築公司負責興建，麥卡賓爵士曾經承建蘇格蘭咸頓公園球場、韋斯咸之百年紀念看臺及千禧蛋，建築合同總額為 2.2 億英鎊，不僅僅是一座球場，還包括了一座價值 6000 萬英鎊的廢物循環處理中心。
由於一度缺乏資金，俱樂部宣佈新球場建成時間由 2005 年推遲到 2006 年，這使外界出現很多猜測，甚至有傳言說球隊會與熱刺隊共用溫布萊球場為主場。阿仙奴以格蘭納達傳媒集團 (Granada) 和耐克 (Nike) 的資金，加上出售新球場相關土地的收益來負擔其餘的款項。阿仙奴並計劃在新球場落成後，於高貝利球場的舊址發展住宅物業項目。
2004 年 10 月阿仙奴宣佈將新球場的命名權給予阿拉伯的阿聯酋航空公司 (Emirates Airline)，新球場命名阿聯酋航空球場 (Emirates Stadium)，為期 15 年，贊助合約總值達 1 億英鎊，合約同時包括八年的球衣廣告，由 2006/07 賽季（即新球場啟用首季）開始，阿仙奴球衣將印上「乘搭阿聯酋航空」(Fly Emirates) 取代約滿的電訊商 O2。

有傳列比來季加盟兵工廠
有傳法國國腳列比(Franck Ribery)在來季加盟兵工廠，現效力馬賽的該名翼鋒被傳已與阿仙奴領隊雲加達成口頭協議，於今夏轉投阿仙奴，傳會費將是1,350萬英鎊。
原先在去年夏天已可轉會的列比稱：「我不想好像去年一樣在轉會之事弄到一團糟。」
如果轉會真的成事，列比將成為阿仙奴另一次法國革命。雲加初到阿仙奴時，引入不少法國球員如韋拉、比堤、基文迪、安迪加、韋托特、亨利、皮里斯等，為阿仙奴奪取多項錦標，成為一次很成功的法國革命。但最近法國兵源只剩下亨利、加拿斯、基列治及迪亞比，相信列比的來投，將再次掀起另一次法國革命。

里貝里加盟已獲口頭協議
韋拉和皮利斯相繼離開，阿仙奴隊中法國幫聲勢呈下降趨勢，好在法甲足壇不缺潛龍，據說媒體報導，去年德國世界盃上表現出色的法國新人里貝里接近酋長。
去年夏天里貝里就成為很多豪門注意的對象，但他最終選擇留在馬賽。不過據稱阿仙奴和馬賽達成預備性的協議，如果馬賽出售里貝里，阿仙奴擁有優先選擇權。如今馬賽成績不佳肯定無緣下賽季冠軍聯賽，里貝里也到了給自己找個更好出路的時候。據《法國足球》披露，雲格已經與球員達成口頭協議。
里貝里也希望自己不要掉入轉會漩渦，最理想的進程是直接敲定未來東家。“我不希望再次經歷去年夏天那樣的複雜局面。我的目標是進入歐洲冠軍聯賽，未來會發生什麼？等著看吧。世界盃之後很多球隊對我敢興趣，現在我與其中一些仍有聯系。”
阿仙奴隊中有不少里貝里“老鄉”，亨利、加拿斯、克利希、迪亞比……尤其是隊長亨利，里貝里曾視他為偶像，去年世界盃期間兩人結下不錯友誼。據說當時亨利曾向雲格力薦里貝里，隊長的積極態度肯定會給里貝里轉會帶來積極影響。
與此同時雲格遴選列文接班人的工作也有進展。朗斯球會確認，年輕的門將約翰-比利可以在夏季離隊。“球會與球員達成協議，他可以在今年夏天離開。”朗斯主席說，“我們會接受報價，不過前提是必須真的有誠意。比利最近狀態不穩定，比起前幾年差了不少。不過在大賽中，比如對里爾、馬賽和里昂的比賽里，他發揮不錯。”
比利一直是雲格緊盯的目標，去年教授派前阿仙奴隊長亞當斯特意前往法國觀看朗斯比賽，就是為了考察比利。如今列文是否續約還是未知數，雲格必須著手做好准備。

雲加: 施華事件應告一段落
最近施華轉會到意甲事件傳得熱哄哄，而雲加近日終發出澄清。
雲加說：「施華仍跟球會有合約，而我們從未收到任何收購建議，這個轉閒應告一段落。」雲加再說：「我無法控制意大利報章怎樣報導事件，德國報章怎樣報導關於列文而瑞典報章怎樣寫龍格堡的去向。」

Arsenal star Tomas Rosicky and five of his Czech Republic team-mates landed the whole squad a £25,000 fine from the Czech FA after spending a night in a hotel with six prostitutes.
It was revealed on Monday that the players had been fined after indulging in a wild party following the team's 2-1 defeat to Germany in a Euro 2008 qualifier. But the full extent of the revelry has only just emerged.
A female Czech journalist broke the story after she had visited the hotel room herself as an autograph hunter. Players 'drank and hugged prostitutes' while she spoke to Jan Polak at the room door.
Rosicky, along with Martin Jiranek, Tomas Ujfalusi, Polak and Marek Cech, managed to get the girls into their hotel by telling team officials that the girls were 'autograph hunters'. They also claimed they had been celebrating Ujfalusi's birthday.
Rosicky apologised for his actions at a press conference. He said: 'We have been correctly punished. We are very sorry.' However, he said he had a 'clear conscience' when asked about the presence of the prostitutes.
His girlfriend, Radka Kocurova, may have a few additional questions. She said: said: 'I have read what was in the papers. All I will say is no comment.' Ujfalusi, Cech and Polak are actually married.
'Because the celebration was conducted in an inappropriate way, which does not fall in line with the behaviour of Czech Republic national team members, the whole team was punished by a one-million-crown fine,' the Czech FA said in a statement.
Coach Karel Brueckner was quoted by news agency CTK as saying it was the worst disciplinary offence he had experienced and that it briefly made him consider resigning.
Tabloid daily Sip reported on Monday that the six players had held a party in a room at the Praha hotel until at least 5.30am. The players, who will share the cost of the fine among the whole team, admitted having a late party.
The Czechs lost 2-1 to Germany on Saturday after a weak performance that sparked wide criticism of the team and Brueckner.
Wenger won't risk van Persie

Arsene Wenger is now resigned to Robin van Persie missing Arsenal's closing nine games of the season.
Van Persie has not played for The Gunners since scoring the winning goal against Manchester United in January after breaking a bone in his foot in the game.
Arsenal boss Wenger had been hopeful that the Holland international would be able to return to the team at the end of April.
But it now seems likely that Van Persie will sit out the remainder of the campaign as Wenger is wary about risking the forward's fitness.
"The end of April now looks optimistic," Wenger told the club's official website.
"It is likely he will be out for the season.
"We have spoken to the doctors and they told us that the longer you keep this kind of fracture without playing the less chance you have of a recurrence.
"So if he can play only one or two games then we will not take a gamble."
Van Persie's continued absence compounds Arsenal's problems in attack, with Thierry Henry and Theo Walcott also out for the season.

Arsene Wenger has confessed he should have prioritised cup competitions this season, with Arsenal having nothing left to play for.
The Gunners were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup by PSV Eindhoven and Blackburn respectively, and have also been out of the Premiership title race for some time.
Arsenal's youngsters did reach the Carling Cup final, before losing to Chelsea, and Wenger admits a fixture pile up has come back to haunt his side this season.
"We should have sacrificed the FA Cup this season," Wenger told the Arsenal magazine. "It is a competition we love but last year, when we went out early, we reached the final of the Champions League.
"So this year, once we knew we were in the final of the Carling Cup, we should have completely sacrificed it because in the end it caught up with us. We had two replays in the FA Cup, one just before the PSV tie and one right in between it.
"We had already given a lot, playing 17 games in December and January. Also, we had no possibility to rotate the side because we had many injuries and then all the suspensions.
"So I think it was a mistake on my part. When we drew Blackburn at home we didn't think we would go to a replay.
"When you have 60,000 fans in you own stadium you can never say you will sacrifice the game. But the replay? Perhaps I should have sacrificed it."
Meanwhile, Wenger has confirmed he will continue to play Arsenal's promising youth players in the Carling Cup, with the Champions League taking priority among the cup competitions.
He added: "In the future I will not play senior players in the Carling Cup. But I will not say the same for the FA Cup.
"I think in future our priority should be to qualify from the Champions League group - then take it from there."

Jens Lehmann has revealed he may yet play on beyond his 40th birthday despite earlier claiming he would hang up his boots after Euro 2008.
The 37-year-old Arsenal goalkeeper is determined to keep his options open and would not rule out making himself available to Germany for the 2010 World Cup.
Lehmann refused to be pressed on when he would make a decision on his future, with the veteran former Borussia Dortmund man admitting much depends on his fitness.
"I am not going to set myself any time limit to make a decision," Lehmann told Bild.
"Theoretically the World Cup in 2010 is possible - it all depends on my physical fitness. At the moment that is not a problem."
Lehmann's club future also remains unresolved, with the keeper out of contract at the end of the season and having been so far unwilling to sign a new one-year extension.

Liverpool and Arsenal kick the weekend off with a crucial meeting in the race for third place, live on Sky Sports 1, with The Gunners chasing an unprecedented quadruple over their league rivals.
Arsene Wenger has already masterminded a 3-0 win over The Reds in the reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium, but more impressive were two cup wins in the space of three days at Anfield in January.
The 3-1 FA Cup win was even overshadowed by a memorable 6-3 victory in the Carling Cup, and the Londoners will be hoping to make it a remarkable hat-trick on Merseyside on Saturday.
The last time Arsenal won three times in a row at Anfield, Lord Lucan had just disappeared, and Liverpool's hopes of finishing next in line to Chelsea and Manchester United are also likely to do a vanishing act if they fail to prevent a repeat.
Perhaps a change in ownership will spark a change in fortunes, as Saturday's meeting is the first game since American businessmen Tom Hicks and George Gillett completed their takeover at Anfield.
A victory would take The Reds two points ahead of Arsenal, although the capital club would still enjoy a game in hand.
Gunners boss Wenger has welcomed the return of Emmanuel Adebayor as the Togolese striker has completed a four-game suspension following his role in the Carling Cup final brawl.
Starting alongside Adebayor could be Julio Baptista, and the Brazilian is sure to relish a return to Anfield after his four-goal haul in January.
Thierry Henry (groin and stomach), Robin van Persie (metatarsal) and Theo Walcott (shoulder) are all expected to miss the rest of the season so Arsenal's attacking options appear to be limited.
Conversely, both Gael Clichy (hamstring) and Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) took advantage of the international break to regain fitness so Arsenal's defence will be strengthened.
In midfield, stand-in skipper Gilberto faces a late fitness test as a result of a hip injury, and his possible absence could open the door for young compatriot Denilson or new French international Abou Diaby to play alongside Cesc Fabregas.

Arsenal will welcome back three first-team players when they return to Premiership action at Liverpool on Saturday.
Gael Clichy (hamstring) and Emmanuel Eboue (ankle) have recovered from injuries during the international break. Meanwhile Emmanuel Adebayor is available after serving his suspension.
When he spoke to Arsenal TV Online on Thursday afternoon, Arsène Wenger had only one new injury worry. Gilberto hurt his hip in Brazil’s 1-0 victory over Ghana and faces a fitness test on Friday.
“We have good news over the injuries from the international games,” said Wenger. “The only doubt we have is Gilberto who had a kick on his hip. He will have a test on Friday. Apart from the fatigue factor everybody else looks OK. Eboue and Clichy are fit and they are back in the squad.”
The Arsenal manager believes the return of Adebayor is particularly significant.
“It is important for us,” said Wenger. “With the number of strikers we have out, his presence, physical ability and penetration power means it is good to have him back. We have been punished very hard with Adebayor so it is a relief to have him with us again.”

The return from suspension of striker Emmanuel Adebayor has come as a relief to Arsenal chief Arsene Wenger.
Adebayor has been forced to sit out Arsenal's last four games having picked up a lengthy ban for his part in a brawl during the Carling Cup final.
Wenger's attacking options have been limited in recent weeks due to injuries to Thierry Henry and Robin van Persie and he is happy to have the Togo striker back at his disposal for the final nine games of the Premiership season.
"It is important for us," Wenger told Arsenal TV Online ahead of Saturday's clash with Liverpool.
"With the number of strikers we have out, his presence, physical ability and penetration power means it is good to have him back.
"We have been punished very hard with Adebayor so it is a relief to have him with us again."
Arsenal sit in third, a point ahead of Liverpool, and can reinforce their claims for a UEFA Champions League berth with a win at Anfield, live on Sky Sports 1, on Saturday.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has jumped to the defence of under-fire England manager Steve McClaren and blasted his midweek treatment.
The former Middlesbrough tactician was heckled by his own fans in Spain against Andorra following a slow start to the Euro 2008 qualifier by his troops.
McClaren was already under pressure following England's goalless draw with Israel and things turned ugly after they failed to make an early breakthrough against a side who displayed no interest in playing football.
The Gunners boss feels it is far too early in McClaren's reign to make a fair assessment of his managerial capabilities and that England also claimed four points from their recent two away games.
"I would say I was appalled and I give my complete support to Steve McClaren," explained Wenger. "We accept all criticism when you don't do as well as people expect of us.
"For him first I'd say it's very early. Secondly, they have taken four points out of two away games. I personally feel sorry for many managers of the national teams now."

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has denied a charge of improper conduct and/or bringing the game into disrepute.
The charge relates to comments Wenger made about one of the assistant referees after the carling Cup final defeat to Chelsea last month.
Wenger was unhappy with the assistant referee after he consulted referee Howard Webb before sending off striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The Frenchman was asked to explain his claim "the whole system is not honest", in reference to the disciplinary procedures of the FA, and suggestions the assistant referee "lied" in his report over the mass brawl which marred the final.
Wenger has requested a personal hearing which will be scheduled in due course

Arsene Wenger pulled no punches after slamming Arsenal's defensive display in their 4-1 loss at Liverpool.
The Gunners were not at the races at Anfield with Peter Crouch inspiring The Reds to success on Merseyside.
Wenger did not feel Jens Lehmann was protected enough and that Crouch was too good on the day for his troops.
"Defensively our performance was horrendous," he said. "The difference was Crouch, we just did not handle him at all.
"He was the big difference. We could not cope with him in the air and his three goals all came from crosses from wide areas.
"He made fine runs and we never got close enough to him, and with Steven Gerrard also finding gaps between our defenders, Liverpool more than deserved to win."
The result lifted Liverpool over Arsenal and Wenger is keen for his side to avoid slipping any further down the table.
"If we want to finish third now we will have to produce better performances than that. We are not certain of being in the top four," he added.
"There is not a big enough gap, even if maybe my players felt they had done enough. We will have to give our best in every game now."

國米想要路斯基

Kolo Toure has challenged his Arsenal team-mates to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.
The Reds gained revenge for three losses to Arsenal this season as a Peter Crouch hat-trick inspired a comprehensive home win at Anfield on Saturday.
The result took Liverpool above Arsenal but Toure insists his side will use the memory of their poor performance as motivation to secure third place in the Premiership.
"We need to be really strong all over the pitch. When we win, we win together and when we fail we fail together," he told the club's official website.
"We had beaten Liverpool three times this season - but we did not have the response when they went ahead.

「We need to realise that we need full commitment to get into the top four」在球隊以一比四敗於利物浦後雲加說了這樣一句話，之前的敗仗還可以用球證不公、對手兇悍、門前失機、贏了形勢輸了球甚至傷兵滿營來作為藉口，但對利物浦的落敗，我們還能找甚麼作藉口？
去年歐冠杯打入決賽令人無限憧憬，能夠打敗皇馬，在主場球迷面前把前隊長效力的祖雲達斯殺個片甲不留，甚至若非列文被逐，我們早已取得歐冠杯，這一切一切令陣中的年青球員失去反思，太早來臨的榮耀往往令人失去自我。一旦從高處墮下，球員失去目標，從而失去動力。
重建球隊從來不是一件易事，看看現在阿仙奴的陣容和奪得不敗賽季的相比，你會發覺除了列文、托尼、施華、龍格堡及亨利外，其餘的皆是新面孔，而留隊的五人中，除了托尼，又有那個的表現會比當年好？或者你會說新舊不合拍是一個因素，但評論球員的是否走下坡，我只會從他本身的控球、爆發及對皮球的觸角去評定。
對燕豪芬前，阿仙奴今季的球員基本上分為三大類別，第一，就是年青有火但欠缺經驗的一群，他們無能力改變戰果；第二就是具經驗但長期在傷患下或開始走下坡的球員，他們或有能力改變戰局但卻有心無力；最後是球隊內最珍貴的資源，即是最當打的一班球員，這類別的球員就只有三人─托尼、希比及路斯基，然而除了防守的托尼外，負責進攻的其餘兩人卻在球隊缺乏資歷。如果你留意到，你會發覺無論希比在禁區外如何連過數關美妙入滲，到頭來最終一腳的決定仍令人氣出煙來。費比加斯奪得足總杯的時候，希比還未加盟阿仙奴，更枉論今季才加盟的路斯基。
這三大類別結集而成的阿仙奴足球，今季的進攻模式極大部分就以欠缺經驗的傳給有心無力的、或有心無力的傳交有心有力但最終卻了結在優柔寡斷之中。季初當地阿仙奴球迷在球場中叫得最多的一句說話，並不是亨利，亦不是阿仙奴，而是射門。讓我提提你，阿仙奴的三大進攻中場費比加斯、希比及路斯基直至對利物浦賽後，在聯賽中合共只射入三球，而基拔圖施華臨危受命的入球一半來自十二碼，即是說在 open play 的進攻過程中基本上阿仙奴的中場是欠缺入球能力。相比於今季突然發狂的朗拿度、史高斯及傑斯的二十六球，還未計算朴智星的五球，就會知道阿仙奴為何落後曼聯二十分。在英超，中場主宰比賽是不變定律，當年皮利斯及龍格堡一季內合共射入超過四十球時，英超冠軍就手到拿來。現在的問題卻是，當球隊在嚴重缺乏前鋒下，中場球員就無法將皮球放入網窩，而這一個結果，是從季初孕育出來。
雲佩斯及亨利的受傷，的確影響了球隊的入球能力，但我以為在兩名正選前鋒缺陣下球隊在進攻上是否應有一點變化？巴迪斯達及艾迪巴約腳法粗糙，如果中場硬要和這兩名前鋒組織一些絲絲入扣的攻勢似乎所托非人。對燕豪芬及其後的三場聯賽，阿仙奴只取得三個入球，一球來自艾歷斯的烏龍球，一球來自迪亞比改變方向的入球，而另一球來自加拿斯在利物浦的門前撞入，沒有一個入球是經過組織取得的。這四場賽事，阿仙奴的基本踢法沒有變過，巴迪斯達為單箭頭，艾利阿迪里和艾迪巴約負責偏向左路，我想說的是，這個踢法我已批評了一整季，介乎於四五一及四四二之間的所謂四四一一，這個陣式連亨利在陣也未能發揮出水平更何況是艾利阿迪里及艾迪巴約。當中場球員不懂取得入球而前鋒球員習慣性地墮後的時候，試問入球責任將交給誰？或者有人會說，以前阿仙奴的進攻模式也習慣將前鋒墮後，我會說，以前我們有看通戰局的伯金，以前我們有韋托特、皮利斯及龍格堡等中場球員製造出來的大量入球，而今季我們的費比加斯、希比及路斯基合共在聯賽射入三球，比艾雲甘寶的四球還要少。
正如我所說，重建球隊不是一件易事，特別是在有限的資源下，雲加的固執令阿仙奴取得成功，但有時在環境有變下，是否應來一個變通？對維拉、愛華頓及利物浦，看得最多的鏡頭就是巴迪斯達站在中路，艾利阿迪里或艾迪巴約在左路角球附近單打獨鬥等待隊友的支援，而應該作出支援的中場球員，他們自從對燕豪芬後已失去目標及靈魂。
勝負從來不重要，能夠取得整季不敗是百年難得一見，比賽有勝有負才是足球比賽真正吸引人們之處。去年在歐冠杯落敗後，凌晨五時我忍受看著巴塞羅拿球員慶祝的場面，為的就是向步上頒獎台接受亞軍獎牌的阿仙奴球員拍掌致敬。今日，我看見這班沒精打采的球員在場上漫無目的，踢的難過，看的難受，但我明白心理創傷需要時間治療，正如雲加所說，從現今開始向球會及球迷展示承擔 (commitment) 也未為晚，努力爭取前四位置方有資格在歐冠杯這個最高舞台向世人展示阿仙奴的足球仍然是最好的。

列 比 利 暗 示 今 夏 入 「 廠 」
阿 仙 奴 領 隊 雲 格 歇 冬 期 間 曾 說 ，暫 時 不 會 引 進 新 球 員 ，因 為 現 有 人 員 能 力 足 夠 ，但 下 半 季 糟 糕 的 表 現 不 得 不 讓 雲 格 重 新 審 視 「 現 有 人 員 」 ，部 分 球 員 將 要 讓 位 給 實 力 更 強 的 新 人 。
據 鏡 報 稱 ，阿 仙 奴 已 經 作 出 一 個 令 人 意 外 的 決 定 ，法 國 前 鋒 阿 利 亞 迪 尼 將 被 列 入 出 售 名 單 ，標 價 僅 為 300萬 英 鎊 ，目 前 已 經 有 包 括 米 杜 士 堡 在 內 的 多 家 球 隊 表 示 關 注 。

Flamini wants Arsenal move

Mathieu Flamini has dropped a bombshell on Arsenal after he revealed he wants to quit the club this summer.
The 23-year-old midfielder has spoken with his representatives about the prospect of buying out his contract under new Fifa regulations as he feels it is time for him to leave The Gunners.
Flamini has been with Arsenal since 2004 - when he was snapped up in controversial circumstances from Marseille.
Now, despite being a crucial squad member, Flamini admits he is ready to move on as he cannot secure a regular starting spot.
"I have reached the end of a cycle," Flamini told l'Equipe.
"I have spent three years at Arsenal and my lawyer has assured me I can leave in June. To do that I have to pay the club my last year of wages.
"My next three years will be important. I want to play and reach a new level.
"The Arsenal team is young and has qualities, but I play rarely at the moment.
"It is a difficult moment to experience and in such a situation any player asks himself some questions.
"Above all I want to go on working and improving. I want to score more goals, assist more often and finally win the Champions League."
Reports in France suggest that Flamini is keen to test himself in Italy.

The gifted young striker has scored eight goals in Serie A this season and has seen his reputation grow with a number of impressive performances.
Both Roma and Milan are believed to be pursuing Rosina, although rumours in his home country suggest that Arsene Wenger has dispatched his scouts to compile a report on the Italian youth international.
Despite growing talk of a possible transfer, Rosina insists he is only thinking of prolonging his progression with Granata.
"I want to continue in Torino's jersey," Rosina told Italian daily La Stampa.
"There is a lot of talk about my future, but for my contract there is time, as president Urbano Cairo always says.
"I'm not saying there is a long time, but I want to underline a few things.
"I wish coach [Alberto] Zaccheroni all the best because I hold him in big esteem and he has been a really important coach for me.
"I have never criticised him and his sacking was a loss for the whole team."
Torino president Cairo has also underlined that Rosina is still contracted to the club for another two seasons.
"He has a deal with us until 2009," said Cairo.
"It's clear he is making the difference for this Torino team and that he is followed a lot.
"But the will to renew is down to both sides."
